Rohypnol and Other Signs of Selfish Weakness

Date Rape Drugs: a phrase that summarizes the grotesque violation of trust that women and girls are dealing with. Find out about Drug Assisted Rape HERE.
When a woman loses control of her body,
her thought processes, her very memory,
the trauma is a unique trauma, with different issues encountered than for those who were conscious or those who did not know the attacker.
All types of rape have varying traumas, so,
Please do not become concerned if you have "symptoms" or problems somewhat different from the lists you might read as typical.

Here is a stunning picture painted by a K-State student.

I am putting it here in very small form; The artist has given us permission to put a larger version in our PURPLE CRIED books. ( HERE and HERE)

charlie sheen, Moammar Khadafy and me (Dressing for the Apocolypse: Why I Keep My Gap Card)

Crazy, Man,

Charlie Sheen Goes Crazy: Reaping What He Sows on Two and a Half Men (Radio Audio and Transcript)

Two and a Half Men teaches boys and men to act like Charlie Sheen does in real life. On the show, however, there are no bad consequences (that cannot be cured with a wry lesson-learned smile and perhaps a smack in the face from a ticked off prostitute). update: see Comments.
EXCUSING  Charlie Sheen for battering, death threats, and grotesque infidelity (see video HERE) over a year ago seemed foolish to me. We reap what we sow. (Stoning Jared Loughner HERE anyone?) This is the culture which destroys girls and boys.

If you have not heard the radio audio, it is at once stunning, horrifying, and hilarious, hilarious until one thinks of his family and friends, and the crew of the show out of work.

If you want to hear the arrogant sad drug induced break down:

and by the way, the radio "dj" is A Major TOad.
[mean that in a bad way]

(btw, Charlie criticizes obama as he apparently believes 9/11 was committed by bush or somethng- a "truther" ?)

turn up your sound and say a little prayer

Excusing Charlie Sheen
and more HERE

"I think it was Nails that said, and I was really flattered that he got it right, he might be Nails, but I'm bayonets. I'm battle tested bayonets... I'm so tired of pretending like my life isn't just perfect and just winning every second, and I'm not just perfect and bi**hing and just delivering the goods at every frickin' turn. Look what I'm dealing with, man. I'm dealing with fools and trolls. I'm dealing with soft targets, and it's just strafing runs in my underwear before my first cup of coffee ... they lay down with their ugly wives and their ugly children and just look at their loser lives and then they look at me and say, 'I can't process it.' Well, no, and you never will! Stop trying! Just sit back and enjoy the show."

Let me say this about the Goddesses, I don't think the term is good enough, but when you're bound by these terrestrial descriptions, you must use the best term available. So if you think about it dude, I'm 0-for-3 in marriage, but like in baseball, the scoreboard doesn't lie. Never has. So what we all have is a marriage of the hearts. And to sully, contaminate, or radically disrespect this unit with a shameful contract is something I'll leave to the amateurs and bible grippers."
"And I just gotta add this, there was a whole firestorm about Brooke being a part of our crew... Where there were four, there are now three. Good-bye, Brooke, and good luck in your travels; you're going to need it. Badly ... She's not there now and we are and I don't know, winning, anyone? Rhymes with winning? Anyone? Yeah, that would be us. Sorry man, didn't make the rules. Oops."
"I have cleansed myself. I closed my eyes and in a nanosecond, I cured myself... It's the work of sissies. The only thing I'm addicted to is winning. This bootleg cult, arrogantly referred to as Alcoholics Anonymous, reports a 5 percent success rate. My success rate is 100 percent. Do the math ... another one of their mottoes is 'Don't be special, be one of us.' Newsflash: I am special, and I will never be one of you! I have a disease? Bulls**t! I cured it with my brain, with my mind. I cured it, I'm done ... you don't look like you're having a lot of fun. I'm gonna hang out with these two smoking hotties and fly privately around the world. It might be lonely up here but I sure like the view, Alex!"

What a Toad of Beauty Looks Like
The shameful exploitation of those monied, addicted, blind, possessed--will be a heavy weight.

live and learn.

Boy arrested for drawing a stick figure

This strange idea of helping is very very sad.
No more therapy for YOU!
story HERE:

ARVADA, Colo. -- "An 11-year-old Arvada boy was arrested and hauled away in handcuffs for drawing stick figures in school - something his therapist told him to do...“Tim” is being treated for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and his therapist told him to draw pictures when got upset, rather than disrupt the class. So that’s what he did.
Last October, he drew stick figures of himself with a gun, pointed at four other stick figures with the words “teacher must die.” He felt calmer and was throwing the picture away when the teacher saw it and sent him to the principal’s office.

The school was aware that the boy was in treatment, determined the drawing was not an actual threat, notified his parents and sent him back to class.
His mother, “Jane,” however, was shocked when Arvada Police showed up at their home later that night. She says she told her son to cooperate and tell the truth, but was horrified when they told her they were arresting him and then handcuffed him and hauled him away in a patrol car.

Tim’s mother says she begged police to let her drive her son to the police department and to let her stay with him through the booking process but they refused. Instead, they put him in a cell, took his mug shot and fingerprinted him. He thought he was going to jail and would never be able to go home again.
According to the police report, “Tim” explained he made the drawing to release anger and would never hurt teachers or anyone. At first, the school did not want to press charges, but changed their mind when police called them later that night.

A juvenile assessment report shows Tim has never been in legal trouble before and is at low risk to reoffend. Regardless, he is charged with a third degree misdemeanor, interfering with staff and students at an educational facility.

Rape Myths, Misogyny, Political Fanaticism Exposed in Nir Rosen's Twitter Response to the Sexual Assault of Journalist

The double standards of decency are now on full display. Even a light examination of the facts in the recent criminal and immoral behavior concerning the assault against L.  (HERE) shows clearly that the blaring horns of the mainstream media pick and choose which speech they will focus on, for example, as "hateful"--including
  • how they will choose to generalize statements from one person to entire groups- OR NOT
  • and the choice to use or NOT TO USE hateful speech to push an agenda, through repeated media stories.
As is typical, a crime of assault against a woman brings from the media a focus on her appearance, pictures completely unrelated to the story which are centered on showing skin, and any information available about her sexuality.
[This case showed typical media and otherwise misogyny-
I have never read a blog by
bonnie russell, but this post popped up with some spot-on points
re Nir Rosen: why was he not instantly, publicly fired?
"Yet not for a second has
our male dominated media turned its eye inward.
 The focus is instead,
on how one lawyer-reporter was a very bad boy." b russel)]

Nir Rosen laughs at assault on Ms. Logan because of her politics?

Examine, explore: Ask yourself
how the media would have covered this
story if

A) the crime victim was a male
______________ such as reporter Richard Engel
B) the person who tweeted hateful statements
was _____________ _______ (insert various choices here)
(Imus, Sarah Palin, Chris Matthews, etc)
C) the crime occured in a fraternity house
D)    the crime occurred during a sports "celebration" riot in the USA

double standard 101 question.
(Is violence against women as real, as violent as violence against men? After all, it's not like a she was stabbed or shot?
What would Sharia law say?)

Besides misogyny,
Politcal fanaticism is an obvious area of reporting bias in the media. No one likes to focus on the fanatics in one's own camp. But ignoring them simply makes the media appear either untrustworthy or irrelevant to large portions of the country.
Putting one's politics over the basic human dignity of women, and perpetuating the winks and nods regarding rape myths is a revolting bias; many women have had enough.
Have you read what nir rosen wrote about the assault of Lara Logan-His Twitter posts are HERE

Read about Rape Myths:

media know
what is important for you??
Myths about Rape

Myth 1: Rape is provoked by the victim. Women invite rape with their appearance or behavior.
Women who are drunk are asking for it.
Fact: A study conducted in Philadelphia by Dr. Menachem Amir indicated that 60 to 70 percent of rapes are at least partially planned beforehand by the rapist; the victim is often threatened with bodily harm if she resists. The problem with this myth is the way it takes the criminal blame from the rapist and shifts the responsibility for the crime to the victim. Walking and dressing in a way that is socially defined as attractive does not give someone else the right to commit a crime. Buying someone dinner and drinks does not imply sexual consent. No person’s behavior, state of intoxication, dress, or agreement to date gives another individual any level of sexual “rights,” let alone the right to commit rape.

A Crime belongs to the criminal.

updated sexual violence stats HERE

Myth 2: It won’t happen to me; only other types of women get raped. Only “bad” girls get raped. Only young, beautiful women are raped.
Fact: A victim of sexual assault is a crime victim, a victim of violence. Victims are of every age, shape, race and social class; for example, 1 out of 10 adult men are sexually assaulted, 1 out of 7 boys are sexually abused (see Read the newspaper: You will see stories of elderly, of handicapped, of male, of child victims. Women do not “ask” to be raped, regardless of what they are wearing or doing.

Myth 3: Women are raped when they are out alone at night, primarily in dark alleys, so if women stay at home they’ll be safe.
Fact: The majority of rapes are committed by acquaintances of the victim, in situations where the victim feels secure. Some rapes occur during home invasions. Any woman, regardless of place of residence, social or economic class, age, appearance, or other factors, can be a victim of rape. Among college women, most rapes occur in victim or rapist’s home. Most rapes occur in or around the woman’s house by someone she knows. Women are raped while engaging in everyday activities, such as sleeping, studying, working, shopping, or driving their cars. Regardless of activity, age, class, race, marital status, or occupation, all women are vulnerable to rape.

Myth 4: Sexual assault occurs only among strangers. If I avoid strangers, I will not be raped.
Fact: 1996 stats show: 67.5% of victims know their perpetrator. 1994: 28% of victims are raped by husbands or boyfriends, 35% by acquaintances, 5% by other relatives (see When considering these statistics, it is important to remember that a woman is more apt to report being raped by a stranger than to press charges against a friend or relative.

Myth 5: Any woman could prevent the rape if she really wanted to. No woman can be raped against her will.
Fact: About 1 out of every 16 rape/sexual-assault victims reported that a firearm was present during the commission of the offense. Most victims (84%) reported that the offender used no weapon. However, the primary reaction of almost all women to the rape was fear for their lives. In view of a rape victim’s fear of injury or death, the loss of control over her life and body, and the humiliation that she undergoes-- it is amazing that so many people still believe the preposterous myth that victims really enjoy rape or are responsible for being raped. The newest form of rape occurs with the use of drugs (GHB, ecstasy, Roofies etc.) which, alone or combined with alcohol, take away a person’s ability to function and greatly impairs ability to remember. Rape drugs are also very dangerous as an overdose can kill.

Myth 6: Rape occurs only in large cities.
Fact: Although the reported number of assaults is higher in urban areas, sexual assault does happen in every area of the city, the suburbs and rural areas. 1993 National Victimization Survey statistics showed that: 66% of rapes occur between 6 pm and 6 am, 60% happen in own home or non-stranger home, and 50% happen within 1 mile of victim’s home. On college campuses in the U.S. which are about the size of K-State—about 10,000 women—350 rapes typically take place in a year (

Myth 7: Most rapes involve black men and white women.
Fact: 1996 statistics ( suggest that most rapes involve a rapist and victim of the same race and socioeconomic class. Among victims 18 to 29 years old, two thirds had a prior relationship with the rapist. Four datasets (the FBI’s UCR arrests, State felony court convictions, prison admissions, and the National Crime Victimization Survey) show a remarkable similarity in the characteristics of those categorized as rapists: 99 in 100 are male, 6 in 10 are white, and the average age is the early thirties.

Myth 8: Rape is an impulsive, uncontrollable act of sexual gratification. Most rapes are spontaneous (that is, a sexually frustrated man sees an attractive women and just can’t control himself).
Fact: Amir found that 71 percent of all rapes were planned; the rapist had it in his mind to rape a woman (any woman) or he had a specific woman in mind. Eleven percent of rapes were partially planned; a rapist took advantage of a woman when she was alone, drunk etc. Only 16 percent were spontaneously or “explosive: rapes where the rapist had no prior intent to commit rape. Most rapists have access to consensual sex; rape is an act of power and control.

Myth 9: Rapists are abnormal perverts or men with an unsatisfied sex drive. Only “sick” or “insane” men rape women. The primary motive for rape is sexual.
Fact: Rapists have a normal sex drive, are generally sexually active and exhibit “normal” types of behavior, with the exception of a greater-than-average tendency toward expression of violence. Studies show the major motive for rape is aggression, not sex. Rapists can be married or have available sexual partners.

Myth 10: Rape is a minor crime, affecting few women. Its significance is over-exaggerated.
Fact: The FBI has reported that in 1994 rapes and sexual assaults in the US totaled 433,000. Some criminologists have estimated that only 10 percent of all rapes are reported. Therefore, one can assume that more than a half-million women are raped every year. Rape also affects all men—by lowering the level of trust women feel around men in general, and by injuring friends, family, and partners of men.

Myth 11: Women say “no” when they mean “yes.”
Fact: In order to have legal, valid consent to have sexual activity, an unintoxicated, clear, mindful “yes” must be communicated. Either party engaged in sexual activity has the legal right to stop at any point. There is no “point of no return.”

Myth 12: Women frequently cry, “rape” that is, there is a high rate of false reporting.
Fact: Studies show that only two--four percent of rape calls are determined false reports, which is no more than in the reporting of other felonies.

Myth 13: Date rape is not that serious; women get over rape quickly, with no lasting trauma.
Fact: Women and men are deeply affected by the invasion of intimacy and theft that is involved in sexual assault. Healthy, competent individuals are traumatized by assault and must deal with issues involving depression, anxiety, fear, relationship difficulties, physical illness, and other problems, both short- and long-term.

Myth 14: Rape is a natural, inherent part of the human condition.
Fact: Rape is not a natural act for men. A study by anthropologist Peggy Reeves Sanday found that in cultures with a high incidence of rapes, the economic, religious, and political structures are controlled by men. In Sandays study of 44 societies that were not patriarchal, there was virtually no rape.

Lara Logan in USA Hospital Following "Sustained Sexual Assault and Beating" in Egypt; NYU's Nir Rosen's tweets here Blames the Victim? (Updated: 60 Minutes and London Times)

Update: Lara Logan Says effects of sexual assault Do Not Go Away... HERE
CBS 60 minutes video below) and story HERE.  Lara Logan Feared Death: Update May 1, 2011:  On cbs 60 minutes, Lara Logan indicates that she believed she was going to die during the sexual assault and beating in Egypt's Tahrir Square. "She was set upon by a mob of several hundred men. She said in an interview with Scott Pelley that 'there was no doubt in my mind that I was in the process of dying. I thought not only am I going to die, but it's going to be just a torturous death that's going to go on forever.' After being rescued, she returned to the United States and was treated in a hospital for four days..."
"Ms. Logan, a CBS News correspondent, was in the square preparing a report for “60 Minutes” on Feb. 11 when the celebratory mood suddenly turned threatening. She was ripped away from her producer and bodyguard by a group of men who tore at her clothes and groped and beat her body. “For an extended period of time, they raped me with their hands,” Ms. Logan said in an interview with The New York Times. She estimated that the attack involved 200 to 300 men."

Journalist Amand Lindhout's
Somalian Kidnapping horror story HERE
It never ends.
"CBS News correspondent Lara Logan was assaulted and sexually abused by an Egyptian crowd last week during the celebration of President Hosni Mubarak's decision to step aside. Logan, a veteran foreign correspondent, was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for "60 Minutes" on Feb. 11 when "she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration," CBS News said in a statement published on their website today.

lara logan picture apparently taken just minutes before violent attack

"In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers," according to the CBS statement.

more video and story here at NPR.

Sadness. I pray pray pray that the use of the terms in the report of this assault--indicates that the crimes committed against her were on the least violent in the spectrum.

These two stories show how the modern media is used to react instantly or even smear in insane and appalling ways after events: (Because sexual assault is always about getting attention, right)

Updated info from The Daily Mail, London Times and Daily Beast:

From the Daily Mail: “More details have emerged of Lara Logan's terrifying ordeal at the hands of a frenzied mob. The 39-year-old foreign correspondent for CBS News show 60 Minutes was separated from her film crew in Cairo on February 11 and surrounded by as many as 200 men in Tahrir Square at the height of the anti-Mubarak demonstrations. According to one source, reported in The Sunday Times newspaper, sensitive parts of her body were covered in red marks that were originally thought to have been bite marks. After further examination they were revealed to be from aggressive pinching. It has also been revealed that she was stripped, punched and slapped by the crowd, which was labelling her a spy and chanting 'Israeli' and 'Jew' as they beat her.And medical sources have revealed that marks on her body were consistent with being whipped and beaten with the makeshift poles that were used to fly flags during the demonstration. An unnamed friend of the reporter told The Sunday Times: 'Lara is getting better daily. The psychological trauma is as bad as, if not worse than, the physical injuries. She might talk about it at sometime in the future, but not now.'

(After being taken to the Four Seasons hotel, she was treated and sedated by the hotel doctor. Within hours of the attack she was was flown out of the country and spent five days in a New York hospital.) Witnesses say the mainly peaceful protests to end Mubarak's rule had taken a more violent turn after the Egyptian president announced his resignation. The military presence controlling the amount of people entering Tahrir Square seemed to evaporate, and an angrier element had flowed in. Miss Logan was attacked around 1am as she filmed in the square. Egyptian state media had been publishing negative stories about foreign journalists, with many reports alleging that many Israeli spies were masquerading as news crews. Days before her attack, Miss Logan had been held in Alexandria on suspicion of being foreign spies.

K-State senior guard Jacob Pullen (0) is crowded by his teammates during the final seconds of the second half of K-State’s matchup against Kansas in Bramlage Coliseum, Feb. 14. Pullen scored 38 points. The Wildcats defeated the Jayhawks 84-68 picture by Jonathan Knight
From the Collegian: "From the very beginning of the game, the Wildcats went strong to the basket. The forwards played like they had nothing to fear against Marcus and Markieff Morris, one of the most dangerous tandems in the country. K-State's audacity paid off, as the team had drawn two fouls each from Marcus and Markieff only halfway through the first half.
Due in part to the foul trouble but also to the Wildcats' smothering defense, the dynamic duo suffered greatly; Marcus had 10 points but only a single rebound in the first half, and his brother had none of either. Together, they would end up with 16 points and three rebounds, far below what they usually contribute."
