The Jackie Kennedy Tapes

As Caroline Kennedy says, they capture a moment in time. These conversations with White House aide Arthur Schlesinger, released 50 years after the inauguration of JFK, seem to be spoken in true candor.
It is a lesson in how we change over time; how observation leads to wisdom; how things aren't always as they seem. It also seems to me to be a glimpse into the heart and mind of a woman full of strength but also tending toward introversion to the point of discomfort or even anxiety or depression.

I found it fascinating to watch and listen as a little trip through history, through a time when i was very young with misty memories. My own mother reminded me very much of Jackie Kennedy.
