A Hope for Future Beauty and Light

First, let us ask for the Blessing of Light:
Light to see around us, Light to see within us.

you may remember a child's prayer:
Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here.
Ever this day, be at my side,
To Light
And Guard,
and Rule
and Guide me.
amen.

when i prayed this prayer i always imagined the angel putting a real clear light on everything so i could better see what the truth of things were.

In addition to Light, let us ask for a Blessing to be Joyful in all things. It does us no benefit to lose our joy, and indeed we often find later that it was in fact foolish. We do not see things in the long picture, but only in a moment of time.

Embrace Joy! Share the Joy!

Let us ask for a Blessing for the Courage to Touch, Embrace, and Love those around us.
We are here now--Let us really Be Here Now!

Let's ask for a Blessing of Curiosity and Energy
Wake ourselves up, Look Around, Find Art!
 and DO SOMETHING!

Can we ask for a Blessing of Newness,
breaking our unproductive habits
and stepping out of our comfort zone?

And may we ask for the
Blessing of Beauty in our lives,
which usually means
having the eyes to see it, to look for it,
to find the beautiful.
too often--- we do not see things as they are,
we see them as we are.
We need a blessing of Beauty in our own hearts.

How important to ask for the
 Blessing of Humor!
If we can laugh with all that is laughing and
smile at all that has joy we will surely change our lives.

Can we ask for the Blessing of Solitude and Quiet
to be one with Creation and the Creator,
without which we will never have  peace?

And let us ask for the Blessing of Bravery and Honor,
that we can protect the innocent,
and stand by those who need a friend,
and speak encouragement to those who need a word.

Finally,
let us ask for the Blessing of Love.
The Power of Love
exceeds all things.
