K-State Wildcats Move Forward in NCAA: 70-64 over Southern Mississippi

Frank Martin's Wildcats add to the streak of winning a post-season tournament game: 1980-83 may be the last time it was 3 consecutive NCAA games. The team did not play at their very  best but did what it took. exceptions:  Rodney McGruder scored 30 points; Jordan Henriquez provided defense.

The # 8 Cats held off  # 9 Southern Mississippi 70-64 at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
