Invisible Children is an international organization working for peace in Northern Uganda. As stated on their website, "Invisible Children uses film, creativity, and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph  Kony's rebel war and restore peace to Northern Uganda to peace and prosperity."

Invisible Children is coming to K-State. The event will take place on Monday, November 15th from 8:00 pm-9:30 pm in Forum Hall in the Union. They will be showing an extremely insightful, educational video detailing the struggles and hardships that the citizens of Northern Uganda face. In addition to this, they will be bringing a student from Uganda who is now part of the Legacy Scholarship Program to share her personal experiences with our student body. She will also be highlighting what Invisible Children is doing to help rebuild education in Northern Uganda. This is a unique and enriching opportunity that your students will not want to miss out on!

WHEN: Monday November 15th 8:00 pm

the group that is hosting Invisible Children next week. Thank you,  for this.

The worst depiction  i have ever seen of the effect of "child soldiers"
The most horror, and deepening of my understanding of the psychological aspects of this unbearable crime --occured  when i watched the Movie, Blood Diamonds.
I am still traumatized whenever i think of it. I honor those who work to end this deepest most vile sin. kt.
